Mitch Flynn, president of Flynn & Friends Advertising, announced that the agency recently completed work on an advertising campaign for Holy Angels Academy's fall Open House, held on September 26th and 28th. The campaign resulted in a 60% increase in the number of attendees at the Open House - from 150 in 2008 to 250 in 2009.
The agency's strategy for the campaign was to use a combination of direct mail, outdoor, and newspaper advertising, all centered on the theme line of "You Glow Girl" to invite 7th and 8th grade girls and their parents to the Open House. The direct mail portion consisted of three printed postcards as well as a three-dimensional mailer that included a glow-in-the-dark bracelet. The pieces were then sent out to families throughout the month of September. In addition, billboards and newspaper print ads featuring the new theme line were strategically placed throughout Western New York to entice parents and their daughters to attend the Open House.
